Cody Blankenship and Kaitlyn Daniel were awarded first-place prizes and Logan O’Neal finished in second place at the Graves Business Plan Competition.

EECS Dongarra Professor Michela Taufer is part of a national team of researchers working to build the critical technology needed to sew-up the national computational infrastructure. They have just been awarded $5.6M from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for their efforts.

UT and AT&T are collaborating on new research surrounding 5G technology, with faculty in the Tickle College of Engineering playing key roles.

Included in that group are two University of Tennessee alumni from what is now the Min H. Kao Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Lynne Parker (’83) and Mark Dean (’79). In addition to their shared ties to the department, both later served as interim deans of the Tickle College of Engineering, giving UT a strong connection to the new task force.
