Liu Adds Another R&D 100 Award for Grid Research
UT-ORNL Governor’s Chair Professor for Power Grids Yilu Liu recently won her third R&D 100 Award within the last four years for her research into stabilizing large-scale power grids. The 2022 award recognizes Liu’s latest innovation, GridEye, the first monitoring network to cover the entire North American power grid.
Taufer Selected to Receive 2021 IBM Faculty Award
Michela Taufer, ACM Distinguished Scientist and Dongarra Professor in High Performance Computing, was selected in December to receive a 2021 IBM Faculty Award. The award recognizes the research of Taufer’s group, the Global Computing Laboratory (GCLab), which focuses on various aspects of High Performance Computing (HPC) and its application to the sciences.
