Job Description

We are looking for experienced cloud knowledgeable resources, most importantly AWS, to join the Engineering group and support development of a highly scalable and reliable platform following the latest best practices. We are currently running a multi tenant platform on heavily stateless services, as well as serverless technologies to bring together the best of all worlds for a reliable set of standard, advanced and enterprise services.

We are looking to build out our operations team. We are looking for individuals to manage production support activities across all customers including. Those activities include:
● Managing support tickets and SLAs
● Triage of bugs prior to handoff to Engineering
● Configuring customer tenants via database and file updates
● Supporting questions related to the platform features such as asset security
● Supporting engineering developers in making production updates for customers

Responsibilities

More specifically, responsibilities include the following:
● Monitoring production accounts for alerts
● Modifying data in Production environments in DynamoDB, SSM and other data repositories provided by AWS
● Troubleshooting production issues and performing root cause analysis
● Monitoring Email and Jira Service Desk for issues raised by customers and our customer success team
● Categorizing issues according to severity of issue
● Managing issues from receipt through delivery / completion of an issue
● Generating reports to show metrics around our production support processes

Skills / Prerequisites

Skills below are across different roles.
● Strong experience with the core AWS services
● Good background in Linux/Unix administration
● Familiarity with Docker
● Familiarity with JavaScript/NodeJS, TypeScript, Bash
● Strong notions of security best practices (e.g. using IAM Roles, KMS, etc.).
● Experience with monitoring solutions such as CloudWatch, DataDog, Grafana, and the ELK stack
● Previous exposure to large-scale systems design
● Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems
● Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) using CloudFormation, others such as Ansible, Terraform are nice to have
● Experience maintaining cloud-native applications
● Familiarity with serverless practices using AWS Lambda
● Familiarity with ImageMagick/ghostscript, ffmpeg, libreoffice and blender
● Familiarity with digital asset management
● Familiarity with Adobe Creative suite use cases (developer, not designer)
● Experience in an agile environment
● AWS certifications are a plus, not necessary
● Good experience with Jenkins
● Experience with Jira, Jira Service Desk (Atlassian Suite)
