Forty-eight graduating undergraduate and graduate students in the Tickle College of Engineering are recipients of a 2022 Volunteer of Distinction award in recognition of their academic achievements. Three students from EECS were amongst this year’s recipients.

Computer science major Robert Bray and electrical engineering major Jingjing Sun received the Extraordinary Professional Promise Award. This award is presented to undergraduate and graduate students who demonstrate professional promise in teaching, research, or other contributions. Computer engineering major Karan Patel received the Top Collegiate Scholar Award. Top Collegiate Scholars are seniors who will receive their degrees in 2022 and hold the highest GPAs in their colleges.

The awards are presented each spring by the Office of the Provost in the categories of Extraordinary Academic Achievement, Extraordinary Professional Promise, Outstanding Scholar Athlete, and Top Collegiate Scholars.
