Description

These positions are located in the Littoral and Mine Warfare Systems Department (A), Command & Control Branch, Code A32 (1-Vac) and Distributed Integration Branch, Code A33 (2-Vac), within the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Division.  As an Engineer/Scientist, you will perform research, analysis, design and integration of complex computer systems.  This includes operating with modern web and virtualization tools, programming languages and technologies. You should have deep software development and design expertise, an understanding of enterprise architecture, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Using your expertise, you will design and integrate a software application into multiple hardware configurations.  This position requires life cycle support as the project moves into formal delivery to the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) platforms.  Leadership skills are required in order to ensure effective coordination of task teams and task completion.

Description

-Leading a team of computer scientists and engineers to develop computer software, hardware, and architectures for integrated computer systems.  

-Working in the Windows and Linux environment to install, integrate and test various software applications for Java, JavaScript and C++.

-Working with the engineering team to ensure that system design and development is understood and testable.

-Updating and maintaining current and future computer systems, software, and documentation across the program.

-Supporting quality assurance events for integrated systems including both system integration and factory acceptance tests.

-Supporting cross-site integration teams during the development and integration of software and hardware updates to ensure successful integration and testing.
