Role Summary:

This position is a local electrical project coordinator. They will coordinate all development aspects of the localized product with the local partners (Production/Purchasing/Quality/Suppliers) and the counterparts in Germany.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Localized Product Coordination – (50%)
  • Work with internal partners to ensure Volkswagen requirements are available and understood during the supplier selection phases
  • Evaluation of supplier capabilities and other technical assistance
  • Ensure project timelines are tracked
  • Coordination with Project Lead – (50%)
  • Represent local development project interest in tandem with project lead in Germany
  • Ensure constant communication of project status
  • Align locally requested changes with project leads in Germany
  • Align platform changes initiated abroad are implemented in the localized project

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required
  • Master’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Internship or other applicable experience

  • Computer savvy – skilled in the use of software

  • German skills written and verbal are advantageous

Skills: Specialized – Required

  • Experience with automotive control modules
  • Knowledge of vehicle communication networks and tools

Skills: Specialized – Desired

  • Automotive control module development experience
  • Knowledge of automotive control module suppliers, particularly in the NAR
  • Experience with Volkswagen electronics control modules
  • Experience with automotive control module root cause analysis

Work Flexibility:

  • Frequently traveling to the suppliers and the R&D department in Wolfsburg, Germany
  • Frequent road testing consisting of 1-2 weeks on the road
