The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Iowa (https://ece.engineering.uiowa.edu) invites applications and nominations for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the area of Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS)/Internet of Things (IoT) to begin in fall 2018.
This position requires a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline, with CPS/IoT expertise in one or more of the following areas: embedded systems, sensor networks, security, privacy, low-power computer architecture, artificial intelligence, or software engineering. Required qualifications include a strong commitment to effective teaching and mentoring students in the area of Computer Science and Engineering, potential to develop an internationally recognized research program, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to work to a welcoming and inclusive environment. Desirable qualifications include a previous record of successful development of CPS/IoT systems.
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is a leader in innovative and collaborative research and is experiencing a period of unprecedented growth, having doubled our undergraduate student body over the past 6 years.
