One Ph.D. student position is available in the Autonomous Systems Laboratory (ASL) in the Department of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Biomedical Engineering (MABE) at the University of Tennessee Knoxville (UTK) with a focus on control, optimization, and machine learning for unmanned air and/or ground vehicles.
The candidate should be self-motivated and committed to getting a Ph.D. degree, and is expected to have a strong interest in guidance, navigation, and control of autonomous vehicle systems.
Candidates with experience in control, numerical optimization, machine learning, unmanned air/ground vehicles, or robotics are highly desired. The selected candidate is expected to start as soon as possible (Spring, Summer, or Fall 2020).
