My name is Aryn and I wanted to take a minute and introduce myself as I am the new Internship Program Coordinator at ANR. ANR is a recruiting company based in Richland, Washington and we have a great paid summer internship program where students, from all majors, get the chance for real world experiences. We have contracts with CH2MHill Plateau Remediation Company (CHPRC), the Department of Energy – Richland Operations Office (DOE-RL), Department of Energy – Office of River Protection (DOE-ORP), and Mission Support Alliance (MSA) where students would work on the Department of Energy site, Hanford.
- Paid 10-14 week assignments
- Open for college freshman to Graduate Students
- Business and Administration, Engineering, and Science majors
- 100+ internships filled in 2017
The US Department of Energy (DOE) oversees the projects associated with cleaning up the reactors, soil, groundwater, solid waste burial sites, and also manages the demolition of facilities, and the disposition of the remaining plutonium left on the site. We place students at both the Richland Operations Office and the Office of River Protection.
CH2M HILL Plateau Remediation Company (CHPRC) is the prime contractor for the safe, environmental cleanup of the Central Plateau at the Hanford Site. CH2M HILL Plateau Remediation Company is responsible for waste retrieval and fuels management, groundwater and vadose zone remediation, demolition of facilities and canyons, and closure of the Plutonium Finishing Plant. Along the Columbia River, CH2M HILL is also remediating the 100K Area, which includes preparing for the treatment of highly radioactive sludge that is now the K West Basin, where it will be stored until it can be treated. Mission Support Alliance (MSA) team provides a number of cross-cutting services to the DOE and other contractors at the Hanford Site, such as safeguards and security, environmental integration, site infrastructure and utilities, site business management, information resources and content management and portfolio management.
