Tasks and skills required for support of the GXM REEF laboratory:
The individual will support the assessment of embedded systems to include identifying communication interfaces and debug ports, implementing customized electrical interfaces between analysis tools and embedded systems targets, extracting memory contents from embedded systems, and performing dynamic analysis of system operation. The individual will perform analysis of memory contents extracted from embedded systems to include identifying regions of executable code and data, disassembling executable code, and identifying functions critical for secure system operation. The individual will create customized software analysis tools as required to support this task. The individual will communicate and collaborate with technical staff providing supporting capabilities across the division. The individual will document technical approaches and assessment findings for delivery to customers.
Requirements / Skills:
The individual should be familiar with common laboratory test equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters. The individual should be familiar with common protocols used in embedded systems including UART, SPI, and I2C. The individual should have experience writing software in C and Python. The individual should have working knowledge of assembly language in at least one architecture. The individual must be capable of holding a TS/SCI clearance. The individual will be required to be a member of the Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF).
