What

A Temporary, Full-time 90-day paid internship program with FedEx’s Global Planning, Engineering, & Global Support Services Department. Interns will be part of a team with responsibility for designing, developing, and/or implementing processes and tools for FedEx Express. These high profile teams provide a broad range of product offerings to FedEx operations worldwide.

When

Summer 2019- May 12, 2019 through August 9, 2019

Who

Candidates for a Bachelor’s Degree (Junior or Senior) or Master’s Degree with majors in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Information and Technology.

Where

Interns are based out of the FedEx World Headquarters in Memphis, Tennessee.

Qualifications

An ideal candidate must:

  • Be enrolled in college or university studies as a Junior, Senior, or Post Graduate student
  • Be reliable and exhibit follow-through
  • Be adept in completing assignments and solving problems
  • Have strong communications and human relations skills
  • Possess strong leadership skills as well as planning and organizing abilities
  • Possess strong analytical skills as well as written & oral communication abilities
  • Possess the ability to collaborate with different business areas, systems users, & technical developers
  • Have a 3.0 GPA or above
  • Provide 2 forms of unexpired identification (Driver’s License, Social Security Card, Passport, or State Issued ID)
  • Provide a copy of your college academic transcript

Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is preferred.

Applicants are subject to a criminal background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities for the Engineering positions include:

  • Assist in the analysis and evaluation of operational processes
  • Assist in the modeling and implementation of new operational processes

Responsibilities for the Software Development positions include:

  • Assist in activities related to the development of technology solutions
  • Assist in providing information systems design and development utilizing one or more of the following tools: C#.NET, ColdFusion, JavaScript, Oracle, and/or SQL Server

Responsibilities for the Business Analysis and Project Management positions include:

  • Assist in activities related to the development of technology solutions
  • Assist in gathering and documenting information on current state and future state solutions being developed
