Tackling The Technical Interview

What is it like to interview with Google, Apple or Microsoft?  That question was addressed on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 in the Min H. Kao building.  EECS students who have interviewed with these and other top companies shared their stories of interview successes and failures with over 100 of their fellow students.  Representing the other side of the interview, panelists from some of the EECS industrial affiliates spoke to students about what companies look for when they interview job candidates.

The student panelists were Denise Koessler, who has interview experience with Apple, Microsoft and IBM Watson; Zahra Mahoor, who has interview experience with Google; and Edward Jones, who has interview experience with GE, DOE and FERC.  The industrial affiliate representatives were AMS President Dr. H.M. “Hash” Hashemian, Cisco Operations Manager Joe Gipson, Cadre5 Senior Data Architect Robin Auerbach, Chris O’Neal, also of Cadre5, and Sarina Adhikari of EnerNex.

“Tackling the Technical Interview” was presented by Systers: Women in EECS at UTK.
