 internship
 positions
 available
 for
 2010.
 The
 individual 
must 
be 
flexible 
with
 regard
 to
 project 
assignments,
 must
 be
 able 
to
 work
 independently 
and
 to
 collaborate 
with 
other 
students,
 scientists, 
and 
engineers.


Responsibilities
 include
 implementing 
and 
documenting
 software
 according
 to 
the 
specifications.



Candidate
 must
 be
 currently
 enrolled
 in
 an
 M.S.
 or
 a
 Ph.D.
 program
 with
 good
 academic
 standing.
 Successful
 candidates
 must
 demonstrate
 substantial
 programming
 experience
 in
 Java
 and
 GUI
 design.
 Familiarity
 with
 IDEs
 such
 as
 Eclipse
 and
 NetBeans
 is
 required.
 Knowledge
 of
 machine
 learning
 and
 data
 analysis
 techniques
 is
 important.
 Programming
 experience
 with
 J2ME
 (i.e.,
 Crème
 JVM)
 on
 Windows
 Mobile
 6
 based
 handheld
 devices
 is
 a
 plus.
 Position
 requires
 the
 ability
 to
 communicate
 effectively
 both
 verbally
 and 
in 
writing.
