 has
 several
 internship
 positions
 available
 for
 2010.
 The
 individual 
must 
be 
flexible 
with 
regard 
to
 project
 assignments,
 must 
be 
able 
to
 work
 independently
 and
 to
 collaborate
 with 
other
 students,
 scientists,
 and 
engineers.


Responsibilities
 include
 developing 
and
 documenting 
parallel
 algorithms
 for
 scientific
 data 
analysis.

Candidate
 must
 be
 currently
 enrolled
 in
 an
 M.S.
 or
 a
 Ph.D.
 program
 with
 good
 academic
 standing.
 Successful
 candidates
 must
 demonstrate
 substantial
 high
 performance
 computing
 programming
 experience
 in
 C/C++.
 Candidates
 with
 applied
 math
 (optimization)
 and
 physics
 background
 are 
preferred.
 Experience
 with
 scripting
 languages
 such
 as
 Python
 and
 Perl
 is
 a
 plus.
 Position
 requires
 the
 ability
 to
 communicate 
effectively
 both 
verbally 
and 
in 
writing.
