Software Developer for Hecate Software

Wage/Salary: $50K-60K/year

Job Description:

Hecate Software, Inc., produces high-quality, custom software solutions to address the needs of companies in a variety of fields. The software developer will be expected to contribute to several on-going projects as well as new projects that are about to get underway. Most code development is done with Microsoft Visual Studio using .NET 2.0. Some proof-of-concept work is done in VBA using a Microsoft Excel front-end. Some projects require over-hauling existing software and the candidate will have the responsibility of documenting (i.e., with flow charts and other documents) the operation of that software.

The first 18 months of work will be on a probationary basis.

Qualifications:

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a degree in physics, mathematics or another field of engineering with demonstrated capabilities in programming. The successful candidate will have strong experience in C# and Visual Basic and will also have experience working with relational databases. Good documentation and planning skills are required.
