OIT GA Position
The Office of Information Technology has an opening for a Graduate Student Assistant. This position has a strong Web Development / Programming / Database focus.
The student selected for this position will receive full tuition reimbursement as well as a monthly stipend. The position is a year-round appointment with the option of renewal based on performance review each semester. The start date for this position is August 16. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
Qualifications
- Graduate student in good academic standing
- Must be able to work 20 hours per week, primarily between 8am and 5pm
- Must possess good interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
Desired qualifications
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- High degree of proficiency with PHP, Perl, HTML, CSS, XML
- Experience with MySQL and Apache
- Web development experience
- Linux administration and scripting experience
- BMC Remedy experience
- Experience with Windows and Mac OS a plus
- Customer service experience a plus
Students able to hold this position for more than one academic year are strongly preferred.
