Thank You To Sponsors, From the EECS IEEE Robotics Team

2013 UTK IEEE Robotics TeamGreetings sponsors!

The IEEE robotics teams at UTK would like to thank you for your generous support this year! We are proud to announce that both teams did very well at the IEEE SouthEastCon 2013 Open Robotics Competition and represented UTK to the best of their abilities.

The undergraduate team was able to overcome major last minute hardware issues and finish the competition towards the top of the pack, finishing in 14th place out of 52 teams.

The graduate team squeaked out a narrow victory over University of Alabama at Burmingham and took home a First Place plaque at the open competition! A picture of the graduate team posing with their robot and plaque has been attached.

This year, the IEEE robotics team more than doubled in size and came home with a win. We are already buzzing about next year and hope to continue to expand our efforts and participation and show that the robotics teams at UTK comprise one of the premiere clubs in the southeast. We also look forward to continuing our outreach at a local level and increasing our involvement with FIRST robotics and in the years to come.

Thanks again for all of your help and support. There is absolutely no way that we could have done these things without you!
