Graduate Admissions

All applicants should read and follow the Admission Requirements and Procedures at the UT-Knoxville Office of Graduate and International Admissions. International students should also refer to the Admission Guide for Graduate International Students.

After completing the application requirements outlined above and the application fee has been paid in full, please fill out the EECS Graduate
Admissions Online Application. Before starting the online application, we
strongly suggest that you read our EECS Graduate Adminssions FAQ.

To complete the online application, you will need the following:

  • PDF files of your resume/C.V, personal statement (your career

goals, research interests and related background), and any other
relevant information (awards, publications, etc.)

  • Contact information for three references


Please double check to ensure the correctness of the above information.
Once you have submitted the online application, you will not be able to
make any additions or changes.

Be sure to keep a record of the confirmation code that you receive upon
completion of your application. Please reference it when contacting us with
any questions.

EECS Graduate Admissions: Online Application

If you have already submitted a hardcopy application package to us via
postal mail, we will still process your application upon receipt. You will
receive an email confirmation from us as soon as we finish our initial
processing. Please do not submit an online application in this case.

For international students seeking financial assistance, please submit a completed International Graduate Financial Statement to:
