Dr. Yuanshun (Shaun) Dai

Background
Dr. Dai is an Assistant Professor at University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK), jointly appointed by Dept of EECS (Electrical Engineering & Computer Science) and Dept of IIE (Industrial & Information Engineering). Before joining UTK, He was an Assistant Professor of the Computer Science Department of Purdue University School of Science, at IUPUI since 2004. He received his PhD from National University of Singapore, and Bachelor from Tsinghua University. He has published 4 Books, and more than 60 Articles including 10 IEEE/ACM Transactions papers. His research is in Grid computing, Reliability, Autonomic Computing, High-performance computing and Security. Dr. Dai serves as the Guest Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Reliability. He is a Program Chair for a regular and prestigious IEEE conference, the 12th Pacific Rim Symposium on Dependable Computing (PRDC2006), He is also a Founder and General Chair for the IEEE Symposium on Dependable Autonomic and Secure Computing (DASC05, 06, 07). Dr. Dai also serves on the Editorial Board for International Journal of High Performance Computing and Networking, International Journal of Performability Engineering, and Journal of Autonomic and Trusted Computing.
